Lenovo MIIX 2 Comes With Two Display Size Options
Lenovo is solidifying its presence in the tablet market by introducing a collection of new models; one of them is the MIIX 2. The tablet is essentially a Windows 8.1 device with a physical keyboard dock attached. So if users want to travel light, they may detach the dock and leave it behind.
The original MIIX tablet has a folio-style keyboard case and the detachable dock on the new model seems like a better solution. It also has a sturdy design and includes an integrated touch pad. The dock should be easier for people to use it on their lap.
There are two versions of the tablet. The 10-inch model is designed more for mobility and it is equipped with Intel Atom 64-bit quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, Windows 8.1 OS and 10-finger multitouch. There are also a microUSB port on the tablet unit and a USB 2.0 port on the dock.
The 11-inch model is significantly more powerful with Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of DDR3 RAM, 256GB SSD, Windows 8.1 OS and 10-finger multitouch. There are miniHDMI, USB 3.0 and SD card ports on the tablet unit and a couple of USB 2.0 ports on the dock.
